Museums and private galleries are good at keeping artworks secret! The question is: What can we do about it?
Our founder, Louis, was born in Brazil with colorful landscapes and tasty food, but like you, his soul needed more than that. What? You know, art. The travels started early. After years on the road, followed by multiple encounters with different cultures and artists, Louis found himself in the Netherlands and became Louis Van Hilversum.
One thing stood out in his years of art exploration. Museums, private galleries, and even artists tend to make it hard to reach and share many artworks. And when they share, there’s little or no context or storytelling. That goes against curiosity, craftsmanship, and creativity, the “pedestals” of great art.
Our mission is to bring inspiring artworks into your life because you deserve to have your pieces of art history. We do curate well-known pieces. However, the fun is to reveal artworks that are less known but still important. The double “WOW” factor, from us during the curation and from you during your exploration, is priceless.
From Rembrandt to Mondrian and beyond. The Dutch Homage Gallery specializes in artworks from the Dutch Golden Age to the modern era because, for culture to move forward, we need to look back. Look and see!
And what else do we see? A planet greener and with more sustainability. That’s why we exclusively work with FSC-certified paper. Strict environmental, social, and economic regulations in the forests contribute to a healthier planet. More than ever, we need it.
Now, we pass the paint brush to you! Join us in honoring the masters from the past with inspiring stories and sustainable fine art prints.
Thank you for your time, and see you among the life-changing works of art.
